How to Maintain the Robotic Welding Gun

How to Maintain the Robotic Welding Gun 1

The following is the main points of maintenance of the robotic welding gun:

1. Robot operators must be professionally trained to understand the purpose of the system indicators and buttons, and be familiar with the most basic equipment knowledge, safety knowledge and precautions before use.

2. Pre-work inspection of the robot

① Wire trough,wires are not damaged or exposed;

② It is strictly prohibited to place debris, tools, etc. on the robot body, external axes, gun cleaning station, and water cooler; it is strictly prohibited to place liquid objects (e.g. water bottles) on the control cabinet;

③ No flammable items (e.g. cotton shoes) in the operating room;

④ The temperature of the operating room must not exceed 25 degrees Celsius;

⑤ No air or water leakage or electricity leakage;

⑥ There is no damage to the welding tool threads and no abnormalities in the robot;

⑦ No magnetic fields, vibration sources (e.g., magnets) within the robot's operating range.

3. Power on

① Open the main electrical switch;

② Turn on the control cabinet, welder, and water cooler (Note: KUKA robot turns on the control cabinet before turning on the welder);

③ The robot can be operated without alarms after the power is turned on.

4. When using the teaching kit to operate the robot and running the work, please make sure that there are no unauthorized persons within the robot's range of motion. Do not allow non-staff or maintenance personnel to enter the operation room.

5. After the use of the teaching box, it should be placed in the specified position, away from the high temperature area, and should not be placed in the working area of the robot in order to prevent collision, resulting in damage to personnel and equipment accidents.

6. Operation and Maintenance

① Install the oil tank and flange cover is required;

② Press the green run button; (when the debugger has adjusted the program)

③ Loosen the pressure block before lifting the oil tank after welding;

④ After each welding of tank,check whether there are any uncleaned spatter burrs inside the nozzle, whether the wire is bent; manually clean the inside of the tip after every 4 oil tanks welded (about 2 are welded on a large oil tank, and each one must be cleaned if there is any abnormality. Please follow the training instructions when cleaning)

⑤ Keep the clear gun station injection emitter free of clogs and the oil bottle filled with oil;

⑥ Keep the heat sink of the water cooler clean and the water level should not be lower than the warning line;

⑦ The robot body is cleaned once a week;

⑧ The gun cleaning station is cleaned once a day;

⑨ The gripper is changed half a month with kinked tape;

⑩ If there is any abnormality during operation, contact the commissioner immediately;

⑪ Fault alarms, air holes, welded oil tanks, crashed guns, pinched guns, and no private adjustments to the program should be made while the robot is in operation.

7. Keep the robot's safety and security markings clean, clear, and replace them if damaged.

8. The end of the operation, turn off the power, shut off the gas valve, pull the main switch, clean up the equipment, organize the scene.
